Fight Cancer

Well, today was the last day.  We made it!  We left Lompoc at 6:20 this
morning, and stopped off at Refugio State Park to do a TV spot with KSBY
before making it to Santa Barbara.  We had just commented last night that
we didn't need our rain gear the whole trip, that is, until today.  We had
light rain for about half of the 60 miles today.  Since there is
essentially no food between Lompoc and Santa Barbara, we charged the 60
miles and made it here before noon.  It feels good to have a full day to
rest.  Mike was pretty tired today, but kept his legs moving and led the
charge home.

Thanks to our sponsors for all of the gear.  All of it worked PERFECTLY!
Also, thanks to all of you who have donated to the American Cancer
Society.  If you still haven't, you can continue to do so until July when
we'll participate in the Relay for Life event.  Thanks again to our
"Lauras" for all of your support and love.

Check back in a few days and Mike and I will have our final reflections,
as well as all the details about time peddling, miles per hour averages,
etc.  All in all, we biked 580 miles in 8 days of riding, and 9 days on
the road.
