Mike and I are using this opportunity to raise money for the American Cancer Society by participating in Humboldt County's Relay for Life event in July.  Through our efforts to raise awareness about the environment, we also want to highlight how human activities not only impact the environment, but have also been shown to impact our health. In part, our efforts are to raise money in honor of Mike's dad who passed away last year from cancer.

Our sponsors have been wonderful in donating gear to us to help us succeed in our journey.  Please support them and their efforts to produce sustainable products. We hope to bring more sponsors on board who will donate gear to help us.  But, we also want to use this ride to give back!

We are asking our friends and family to donate money for each mile we ride (550 miles), or to donate a flat fee to the American Cancer Society.  After our ride, we will participate in the Relay for Life event where we will give 100% of the money we raise to the American Cancer Society.
