June 19th,
Woke up to a beautiful morning in Pt. Arena at 6:00 a.m. to check the surf. Totally flat and a strong wind already blowing. We got on the bikes and started out. Had a nice breakfast in Gualala. We relentlessly looked for surf the whole way. Only problem was that the wind kept picking up. This was GREAT for the ride as it was at our backs the whole way. But, it completely blew out the surf.
Before the ride, we had a really hard time trying to find lodging around Jenner and Fort Ross. Kurt at Timber Cove Inn so set us up. This place is amazing, the room is amazing, and they locked up all of our equipment. Wow, such nice people and so gracious. We've been relaxing in the lounge, and haven't ventured out much as the wind is blowing like crazy.
It's going to be a long day tomorrow to Pt. Reyes. We're looking at 65+ miles. Hopefully, the wind will die and give us some surf along the way.
Thanks for all of your support, and let us know what you would like to see or read from us.
