So, a really great, and long day today. We biked out of Big Sur, which as we're fond of saying, it's big. Today was by far our longest day. 70 miles, 5000 feet of climbing, 6:20 hours on the bike, and a two hour surf session. We're guessing we burned a couple of calories for sure.
We were all on the same pace and everyone charged it today. Today was officially Laura's longest ride ever, and kudos to her since it was incredibly hilly.
We stopped in Gorda for a great Mocha. In case you don't know the story from last year, the guy who was making our mocha started talking, and Scott asked, "Pardon?." The guy looked up and said, "I'm talking to Jesus." So, same guy was there and made us three great mochas and a coffee.
We already had reserversations at Motel 6 in San Simeon, but Judy was kind enough to donate us an extra room, so a HUGE thank you to Judy.
There are no pictures from today as we were literally just in the zone of peddaling and getting through the mountain passes. Also, no surf pictures as it was totally foggy and surf could not be seen from shore.
Tomorrow is our last day, which is amazing. It's gone by so fast. Thanks to everyone for following along.
